A long time resident of the shoreside community of Oswego NY, Art Tirrell is a former US Sailing Club Race Officer, former OYC USYRU Sportsman of the Year, honorary member of Oswego High School Sailing Club, a life member of Oswego Yacht Club, and a former devoted (pre-strike) baseball fan.

Mr. Tirrell's 2007 debut novel, The Secret Ever Keepspublished by Kunati Inc. and set on the shore of Lake Ontario, received glowing reviews and is enjoying brisk sales as the word spreads among those who love the water.
